Frontier Geospatial was established in 2013. Since then, we have provided a wide variety of GIS, Database, and UAV services to customers in the public and private sectors. In our staff's 30+ years of experience, we have tackled projects ranging from creating single maps to creating and managing enterprise-wide GIS solutions.

 

We have a wide range of experience working with various desktop GIS programs, GIS server solutions, database systems, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms.

Greg was a GIS Project Supervisor for a local IT company where he oversaw the completion of GIS projects, designed websites, and managed the majority of Evansville and Vanderburgh County ESRI maintenance and software accounts as an employee of a local IT firm. Prior to that, he was employed by the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Building Commission, where he maintained and updated GIS software, created new databases, created 3-D models of 100-year-old floodplains, and evaluated legal documents to ensure compliance with National Flood Insurance Program standards.

Greg managed and developed the GIS data and interface for the City of Evansville AMS project from beginning through completion. He helped develop and implement fleet management software for the Vanderburgh County Garage and City of Evansville Street Maintenance Department. He worked on the Evansville Water and Sewer Department's ArcSDE work environment, which accommodates multiple users and edits along with integration into that department's billing software. He developed and Implemented Vanderburgh County and City of Evansville Engineering Offices' Storm Water networks into an ArcSDE work environment accommodating multiple users and edits. He developed and implemented a more effective way for the County Assessor's office to maintain its Computer-Aided Mass Appraisals (CAMA) and Parcel/Property Boundary layers in ArcGIS, which saved money on personnel and software. 

Greg also worked on a project for the Vanderburgh County Building Commission pertaining to the removal of floodplain determined by FEMA using an old, outdated system. The project consisted of using a planimeter to determine the watershed size on paper maps, transferring that information into ArcMap, and then submitting it to FEMA for its review and approval. This resulted in a 40-percent reduction in the over Flood Zone A for Vanderburgh County.


Greg is a member of the Indiana Geographic Information Council (IGIC) and the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).

Philip has more than 16 years of GIS and database experience. Philip has worked not only with maps but with databases and programming languages to find solutions to a wide range of challenges.

As a member of the Vanderburgh County Assessor's Office in Indiana, he assisted in overseeing the county's initial acquisition of orthophotography and the conversion of paper plat maps into an award-winning GIS system. Once the parcel maps were converted, he assisted in building an online database linking the parcel boundaries to assessment and property sales information, enabling citizens to confirm their property was accurately assessed.

Philip was the GIS Coordinator for Monroe County, Indiana. He reworked a parcel renumbering project which was preventing the county from billing property taxes on time and risking the loss of data between databases for the GIS, Assessor, and Treasurer's offices. He also maintained the county's geodatabase which utilized ArcSDE and MS SQL Server.

Following Monroe County, Philip was employed by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance. There he utilized his skills with Access, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and ESRI GIS products to ensure property assessments were calculated in a fair and equitable manner across the state, and county budgets and tax rates were calculated correctly. He also built scripts in Perl that exported data residing in relational databases to flat text files and linked status maps to a backend MS Access database so non-GIS users could perform regular map updates.

Philip is an FAA-certified small unmanned aerial vehicle (sUAV) operator and a member of the Indiana Geographic Information Council (IGIC) and the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).
