Frontier Geospatial, LLC is a certified HUBZone business.
WHAT IS HUBZONE?
HUBZone was created by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) to help small businesses create employment opportunities and economic development in historically underutilized business zones. The federal government tries to award at least three percent of federal contract dollars to HUBZone certified small companies every year.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
-
The HUBZone program helps fuel economic growth in historically underutilized business zones
-
It allows small businesses and contractors to compete for competitive set-aside and sole-source set-aside contracts
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The federal government can issue two types of "small business set-aside" contracts.
Competitive Set-Aside Contracts
-
At least two small businesses can perform the work or provide products for purchase
-
The government reserves these contracts exclusively for small businesses
-
This happens automatically for all government contracts under $150,000 (with some exceptions)
Sole-Source Set-Aside Contracts
-
These contracts can be issued without competitive bidding
-
A single business can fulfill the contract requirements
As a HUBZone-certified business, Frontier Geospatial, LLC has experience competing for and fulfilling many Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. This certification allows us to compete for these alternative federal government contracts.
